NYC. 1025 5th Avenue. Duplex apartment in that very house in front of Metropolitan Museum of Art and Central Park. Me and my friend Christina spent 2 previous weeks here. The luxurious apartment, which is full of antiques, has already become our native one. But our suitcases have already been packed and now we are ready to go. To go home.

JFK. Yes, we are here! But we have to spent night at the airport. It’s too late to find any place to stay over. Jesus. Cold concrete bench. We’re sleeping, lying on the New York Times. I have fever and horrible cough. What’re we gonna do next tomorrow? Whatever. Now I wanna sleep. Just sleep. Sleep.

Yeah! We have 4 days off! And now we’re going to the concert of my favorite band – Muse! The tickets have already been bought. We’re flying to Indianapolis, IN to see the concert! My friend got to know one guy fr om Indianapolis. And It was very nice of him to offer us his house to spend 2 nights there. We lost voices in the 4-th raw on this concert, but It was awesome!

Early morning. JFK. Today we should find an apartment to rent or at least hostel for the next night. It should be in Queens, in NYC, cos we gonna work here. We met one guy fr om Belorussia by chance, who asked his friend to help us with our search. So, as a result, the following 4 days we spent in Corona, Queens with young Colombian couple, who became our best friends later on.

We spent the whole day and a half in Chicago – the motherland of skyscrapers and Barack Obama. =)
Its great architecture, a lot of historical places and incredible energy made us fall in love with Chicago. We spent night right on the street near that park, wh ere Lollapalooza festival started the following day.

St. Albans, Queens, NYC. My first working day. That is crazy! MetroPCS store. I must sell cell-phones as many as possible. Nobody cares. It starts all over again every day. I hate everything, connected with cell-phones – faceplates, plans, earpieces, chargers. It’s too hard to understand Latinos and Afro-Americans. Exhausted. Moreover, we lived in the basement of one guy’s house in Fresh Meadows In Queens. There were air bed and 3 canary birds. Nothing more. It’s not that sort of thing I dreamt about.

We’ve moved to the 5th Avenue, Manhattan. Just for free. Absolutely amazing! The window looks right on the Central Park! Empire State Building, musical “Hair” on Broadway, Top of the Rock, Brooklyn Bridge, 9/11 Memorial (10-th Anniversary), Times Square, Central Park, many museums, Hard Rock Café, Wall street and Macy’s. That all we have for two more weeks here, living on the 5th Avenue. Fairy tale!

I feel terrible. We left MetroPCS store. It was too challenging, absolutely impossible! We have our friend somewhere on Long Island, in Southampton. May be that’s gonna be the way out. And here it is! We found a house to rent. We found a job by chance in the country house hotel, the real charming, impressive, Gatsby-style hotel. We worked there the whole summer day after day. And then we found part-time job in the restaurant. We lived in paradise – Southampton with its endless beaches and picturesque area. It all disappeared only once, when hurricane Irene stormed over East Coast – on August, 26-27. It was breathtaking, particularly for our parents. But everything became all right. And, finally the owners of the hotel we worked in (middle-aged couple) offered us to live in their apartment on the 5th Avenue during our stay in NYC. It’s not enough to say that we were extremely happy. So, you know, what the final is =)
Well, as a result, I’d like to say, that
